Who we are

Real jobs, real photos

Most of the work happens where you never look.

In Greater Houston, the furnace, air handler and ductwork usually sit in an attic that tops 130°F in summer. Care up there decides how the whole house feels.

Built for the Gulf Coast

Houston weather asks a lot of a system.

A long, humid cooling season

From spring into fall, the AC does two jobs: cooling the air and pulling water out of it. Right-sized equipment, clean coils and clear condensate drains are what keep a home comfortable instead of cool and clammy.

Short winters, sharp freezes

Most winter days are mild, which suits heat pumps. Then a hard freeze arrives, like February 2021, and a furnace or heat pump that skipped its checkup gets tested all at once.

Storms and outages

Tropical storms and hurricanes like Harvey and Beryl bring flooding and long outages. After high water, keep a flooded outdoor unit off until it has been inspected.

Straight answers

HVAC questions, answered.

Why is my AC running but not cooling the house?

The most common causes are a dirty filter or coil, a clogged condensate drain that tripped a safety switch, low refrigerant from a leak, or a failed capacitor or fan motor at the outdoor unit.

Is a heat pump a good choice in Spring and Houston?

Yes, for many homes. Our winters are mild, which is where heat pumps are at their most efficient, and the same unit does all the cooling in summer.

How often should I schedule HVAC maintenance?

At least once a year, and in Greater Houston twice a year is better: the cooling system in spring and the heating system in fall.

What indoor humidity should I aim for in Houston?

Keep indoor relative humidity below about 60%, ideally between 40 and 50%, to stay comfortable and discourage mold and dust mites.

What is SEER2 and what rating do I need in Texas?

SEER2 measures cooling efficiency under updated federal test conditions; higher is more efficient. Since 2023, new central air conditioners installed in the South region, which includes Texas, must meet about 14.3 SEER2 for smaller systems and 13.8 SEER2 for larger ones.
