Air of Texas is based in Spring, in the 77379 area of north Harris County. That puts us minutes from neighborhoods along Champion Forest Drive, Louetta, Spring Cypress and Kuykendahl, and an easy drive to Old Town Spring and the Spring Creek side of town.

Much of Spring was built out from the 1970s through the 2000s, so we see every generation of equipment here: original systems still running on R-22, early-2000s replacements nearing the end of their life, and newer homes on their first change-out. Most have the furnace or air handler in the attic, which is where a lot of Spring’s comfort problems actually start.

Spring questions

Asked by Spring homeowners.

Do you charge extra to come out to Spring?

Spring is our home base, so it is the center of our service area, not the edge of it. Call (346) 452-0382 and we’ll tell you our current service-call terms up front.

My Spring home still has its original AC. Should I replace it?

If the system dates from before 2010 it very likely uses R-22, which is no longer produced, so major refrigerant repairs get expensive. We’ll check its condition and give you an honest repair-versus-replace comparison, not a sales pitch.

Why does my AC shut off when the drain backs up?

Many attic systems have a float switch that cuts the AC when condensate water backs up, to keep water off your ceiling. In Spring’s humidity those drains clog with algae and sludge. We clear the line, check the pan and make sure the safety switch works.

Can you help with rooms that stay hot upstairs?

Yes. Uneven rooms are usually ductwork and airflow: crushed or leaking flex duct, undersized runs or poor returns. We measure, repair and balance the system. One of our customers wrote that we balanced their system “quickly and efficiently.”
